Cellpocalypse

mmmday.blogspot.com/2012/04/world-full-of-cyborgs.html

Everywhere I go, no matter what the circumstances are, I am bound to find at least one person soaking up all the time in the world on a cell phone. It seems to me that cell phones have now become a necessity for human beings to exist! Has it truly become a vital piece of our lives? Has technology finally intergraded its software into our humanity? I hope not.

Even though we use cell phones to keep in touch with family members, compile research, and for our own entertainment, when people pull out their cell phones, especially when family and friends are there to enjoy a piece of our lives with each other, that’s when the line should be drawn. If there is a real human being who is there to not only talk to you, but is there to do things with you then why should a cell phone be a priority

when the conversation gets a little boring. Rather than playing a game of Flappy Birds go find something else to do with that person. Talk about something imaginative or about a person, place, or thing. Don’t just sit there at waste each other’s time tapping your thumbs to the hard cold glass screen a metal or plastic box. after all, a cell phone is just a tiny box with a battery that emits lights and makes noises to please a person. it can't interact with you on a personal level.

I see this way too often and I want it to stop! Yes though a cell phone can provide a person with many pleasures, but it’s just a piece of technology. It cannot replace the feelings and interactions one can get though another human being who can not only answer back at you, but can also laugh with or at you, care for you, and FEEL the same things as you do.If we continue with this now acceptable trend, we will become techno zombies; everything and anything has to be done with a cell phone and we interact with other people with huh and grunts and moans. So put away with your cell phone when there is company around and enjoy the human with love and joy.
